Our process for finding the right candidate

We strive to evaluate job candidates through a fair and reasonable process. Our process typically works like this:

  • Applicants apply through Jobillico or send a cover letter and resume to hr [at] innovation.ca (do not forget to put the job title or the type of position you are looking for in the subject line)  
  • Our human resources staff does a first review of the applications to find the ones with the skills and qualifications we are seeking for the position
  • A selection committee reviews the applications of the qualified candidates
  • Our Human Resources staff reaches out to top candidates to discuss their candidacy and to initiate a conversation about the opportunity
  • Depending on the opportunity, we might schedule a written test ahead of interviews
  • We schedule an interview to better understand each candidate’s education, skills and experience as well as soft skills 
  • We contact the references of our top candidate to validate what we hear in the interviews and get a sense of how they have performed in previous positions  
  • We extend a formal job offer to the successful candidate
