OTTAWA, ONTARIO — The Canada Foundation for Innovation is pleased to welcome Dr. Marc Ouellette as a new Board Director.
Joining a renowned group of Canadians representing academia, industry and the public and non-profit sectors, Dr. Ouellette was appointed by the Members to the CFI Board of Directors for a three-year term. The Board of Directors reports to Members — a higher governing body similar to a company’s shareholders, but representing the Canadian public.
Dr. Ouellette is a professor in the Department of Microbiology-Infectious Diseases and Immunology at the Université Laval School of Medicine, and holds a Canada Research Chair in antimicrobial resistance. He is also an investigator at the Infectious Diseases and Immunity Axis of the Research Centre of the Centre hospitalier universitaire (CHU) de Québec-Université Laval.
The CFI would also like to congratulate professional engineer and corporate director, Ms. Micheline Bouchard, and professor of animal physiology at Dalhousie University, Dr. Leslie MacLaren, who have been re-appointed as Board Directors for a second three-year term.
