Isabelle Henrie
Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services
As Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services, Isabelle Henrie is responsible for the accuracy and fairness of all the CFI’s financial statements, and for the accounting system from which they are derived. She ensures that transactions are authorized, assets are safeguarded, and proper accounting records are maintained. She also ensures that all awards given to institutions are tracked and monitored. In addition to finance, her portfolio includes human resources, information technology,
and administrative services.
Ms. Henrie joined the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) in December 2002 and has occupied various positions within the organization since then. She became VP in June 2019. Before joining the CFI, she worked at Ernst & Young, an accounting firm, where she received her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and performed several financial audits.
In 1997, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in science with concentration in geology (summa cum laude) from the University of Ottawa. She then obtained a Bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1999 and a Specialized Graduate Diploma in accounting (D.E.S.S.) in 2000 from the Université du Québec en Outaouais. Ms. Henrie maintains a professional membership with the Ordre des CPA du Québec.
