Fine-tuning education: learning through music

U of O researcher explores how music can change teaching strategies

As head of the Mus-Alpha Lab at the University of Ottawa, Jonathan Bolduc studied how incorporating music into the classroom can help further develop children’s ability to learn. Bolduc — who is now a professor at Université Laval — collaborated with a variety of specialists and schoolteachers to develop teaching strategies that use musical instruments and song to help kids better understand language and mathematical concepts.
