NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ONT, November 11, 2014 — The official opening of four new laboratories took place on Tuesday at the Canadian Food & Wine Institute Innovation Centre at Niagara College, a research facility that aims to give a leg up to Canada’s food and beverage industry.

Completion of the first phase of the Advanced Rare Isotope Laboratory (ARIEL-I) was celebrated in Vancouver, British Columbia today. ARIEL is the flagship facility of TRIUMF, Canada’s national laboratory for particle and nuclear physics, which has received $40 million in funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) since 2003, including more than $17 million for the ARIEL-I project.
